Had a lovely stay in a large room with a Nespresso machine. The breakfast was excellent, and I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely come back!

Staff were incredibly friendly and the hotel grounds were a beautiful aspect of the experience. the dining options could have been more varied, and certain amenities were a bit outdated. it was a lovely place to unwind with its clean, spacious accommodations and great service.

The room at Stanley House was spacious and very well-furnished, creating a lovely atmosphere. I appreciated the high-quality fittings and cleanliness. Staff at reception were friendly and check-in efficient. I spent some time in the spa and found it to be relaxing, although a bit small. The thermal pool offered stunning views, enhancing the experience, but I wished for more treatment options. Dinner at Mr Fred's was delightful. I enjoyed the ribeye steak and chips, which were cooked to perfection. Breakfast also impressed, with a good variety of choices. Unfortunately, there were issues with service at times. Waiting for drinks at lunch felt excessive, and during dinner, I noticed some confusion with orders. One evening, a staff member hesitant to correct a billing mistake made me feel uncomfortable. These inconsistencies soured my experience a bit, especially given the premium pricing of meals and drinks. It felt like some staff members needed further training for better customer interaction. Despite these hiccups, my stay was quite enjoyable overall.

Just a heads-up, service can vary. I’d recommend checking in advance about dining times to avoid disappointment.

During our one-night stay, we enjoyed the lovely spa, fantastic thermal suite, and beautiful views of the landscape. The double room was pristine and gave us a cozy retreat. We particularly loved the delicious lamb shoulder and the exceptional quality of the food was a highlight.
